john-barrowman-torchwood-320.jpgFOX is in the process of developing a U.S. version of the British sci-fi hit "Torchwood." And while that sentence might normally strike fear into our hearts, the apprehension level is somewhat lower in this case.

That's because in addition to securing the remake rights from the BBC, FOX is also hiring "Torchwood" creator Russell T. Davies to write a pilot script, according to The Hollywood Reporter. There's even a chance that some of the current show's cast would cross over to the new series; the HR mentions John Barrowman by name.

Two seasons of "Torchwood" -- an offshoot of "Doctor Who" about a government agency that tracks and captures aliens -- and the miniseries "Children of Earth" have aired in this country on BBC America. "Children of Earth," which aired last summer, set ratings records for the channel, and the show has been a big success in its home country as well.

Davies' producing partner, Julie Gardner, will be an executive producer on the FOX project, as will former BBC executive Jane Tranter. The U.S. version of "Torchwood" is still in its infancy; FOX hasn't yet decided whether to order a pilot episode.

Davies is also gearing up for a fourth season of "Torchwood" on the BBC.

It was a great year for music. So many good songs. I can actually come up with a fun top 10 list.

And it's mostly dance music. Kudos to Taylor Swift as well, Love Story, and You Belong With Me where great. The later almost making the top 10. Working in the Adult Contemporary genre, I don't get to hear things so quickly as I did, and Lady Gaga took me awhile to find. But when I did, probably my favorite album of the year. Albums are less and less important, and frankly I don't have the patience to listen to a full one anymore. So it's all single based.

Top Ten. Slight edge to #1 but very close.

1. Love Struck - V Factory(Dave Aude Mix) (I know..boy band..but loved it!)
2. Hush Hush - PussyCat Dolls (2.0 remix..the club mix was good as well, but the slow to fast was great..and kudos for the mash up.
3. Bad Romance - Lady Gaga - Just Dance, Poker Face, and the others were great..but this one pushed past as her best for the year.
4. Evacuate The Dancefloor - Cascada
5. I Remember - Deadmau5 & Kaskade (Slight edge over #8)
6. When Love Takes Over - David Guetta & Kelly Rowland (hard to dance to though)
7. Celebration - Madonna (the minute you heard it, it seemed familiar, and right at the moment! Regular and Benny Benasi remix as well)
8. Step One Two - Deadmau5 & Kaskade (Another great one, #5 more of a fav of mine.)
9. 76, Ocean Drive - Nicola Fasano & Pat-Rich - (Apache Vocal Mix) Great use of sample Santa Esmerelda's "Don't Let me Be Misunderstood.")
10. The Fear - Lily Allen (this I liked, when I didn't like her, then heard the album, and enjoy her alot. Another full album that I enjoyed.)

Honorable mention goes to my most listened to track on my Ipod(thanks matt) Please Don't Touch Me - from The Young Frankenstein Broadway stdk.

F*** You - Lily Allen
Glee songs - love some of the mass ups.
Right Round
Waking Up In Vegas
Now I'm That Bitch
My Life Would Suck Without You
Single Ladies
Those were the best! Many more were enjoyable! Comments?

This spoof pokes fun at Brooke Shield’s commercial promo for Latisse the world’s “first and only prescription treatment approved by the FDA for inadequate or not having enough eyelashes, growing them longer, fuller and darker.”

The great video Single Ladies from Beyonce has given us many imitators, including a football team on Glee. Here's a baby enjoying the video.
