Eliese – Let’s Stay Together – Nice pick. She’s got the nice smokey voice to pull this off.

Deandre – Endless Love – Something weird…phrasing? Accent? Don’t falsetto…I hate it! Ok..I don’t like him. And the hair! (have to be consistent)

Shannon – One Sweet Day – loses it on the power end..no real control. Eh…not thrilled by that. Should have gone with the No Doubt song Jimmy suggested!

Colton – Broken Heart – Solid vocals. Nice job on a song no one knows. You have to sell those..and he did!

Erika – Heaven – powering thru it. I have no opinion of this..i alternate between like and don’t. Um…Ok

And here’s where we dump Jermaine! Legaly they can’t keep him.

He would have sung Somewhere Out There. Will we see a contract for him in the future?

Joshua - When A Man Loves A Woman - I wish it didn’t seem like he was pushing too hard and screaming! He needs to learn to control it. Don’t push it so much. With that said...there’s feeling behind that.

Hollie - (her mom sounds like Adele) - The Power Of Love - Some pitch problems at the beginning. But wow..she’s so young, and has a great voice now..imagine what will happen with a great coach. She is your next Celine..Mariah...There’s a tone that they can’t teach...that will only come out with practice!

Joshua – I Wish – Good start to the show. He’s good. Great tone..nice attitude with it.

Eliese – I’m You’re Baby Tonight – Smile baby…Feel it!!!! I don’t think she likes the song. Love the smokey voice.

Jermaine – Knocks Me Off My Feet – What a voice! He’s going to be a big star!!!!

Erika – I Believe In You And Me – What a voice! She’s doing a great job…perfect song for her. Nice control as well.

Colton – Lately – This is really not his wheelhouse. He’s doing a decent job..better middle to end.

Shannon – I Have Nothing – Was doing ok…near the end..she lost it..pushed too hard. Missed a note..then got pitchy!

Deandre – Master Blaster – Still hate his hair…going a decent job. Don’t do falsetto! That’s your lesson!

Skyler – Where Do Broken Hearts Go – I’m not a big country fan..but I love her! She’s great!!!! Solid!

Heejun – All Is Fair In Love – Pitchy a bit, but otherwise not bad.

Hollie - All The Man That I Need – She’s your belter! Um…Wow!!!

Jeremy – Ribbon In The Sky – Maybe not the right song. The weakest I’ve heard him.

Jessica - I Will Always Love You – She’s a star!!! Get used to her!!! Her voice is a gift!

Phil – Superstition – Crazy arrangement! He definitely goes to the beat of his own drum…could be good..could be bad..he’ll never win being out there like that..but there is a musicianship to him.

Jeremy -  I really like him, and hope he stays. Wow..the emotions this show puts you through.

Brielle – What did Jimmy say…don’t do Adele….bye! you’re not good enough for her.

Deandre – pick a range…he’s all over the place!!!! And the hair…you had it pulled back..but you let it go…NO!

Ericka – Good choice of Gaga. And she shounds great! Bit pitchy before the chorus..but smart to pick something current..a good showcase of her talent.

Reed – I don’t think he’s right for the show. I like his style, but it’s so wild and out there. He didn’t sing! (I do enjoy him though)

Chelsea – Cowboy Casanova – you shouldn’t take on Carrie. Some problems.

Erica – What About Love – Nice tone. She’s good.

Jen - My One And Only – She’s not bad.

Brielle – Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay – This is bad…no no no.

Hallie – Feeling Good – She’s one of my favorites, and she isn’t disappointing!               

Skylar – Stay With Me – She’s great…Country’s next big artist…why does she remind me of Reba. She’s going to be a big star!!! Randy equated her to Reba/Kelly Clarkson! We called it here.

Bailey – Amazed – Oy…no. She’s out of her league with some of the other contestants!

Hollie – Reflection - Surprising voice from this young lady. She’s a little raw, but she has the voice and with work she’ll be more amazing. She’s got the talent!! With half the field leaving….worried. J-Lo said doodoo!

Haley – Sweet Dreams – Might not have been the right song choice. She’s not moving on. She’s got that vibrato hiding under there too. This was a mess. Big mess!

Shannon – Go Light Your World - She’s great. Very nice!!! I like her..nice job. And she’s 16!

Jessica – Love You I Do – Oh…giving Jennifer Hudson a run for her money. She’s got Broadway if this Idol thing doesn’t work. She’s good! Really good.

Elise  – One and Only – take 2. (how do they let them do the same song by the way?) She’s better than Jen on this.

Reed – Moves Like Jagger – Oh look..he’s Sheila E with his drum set. Interesting take on this.. especially the first week. Nice voice. Will be interesting to see if America likes the jazz singing on our first look.

Adam – Freedom – Solid if not too exciting. Was he throwing a hanky code?

Deandre  - Reasons – Bit pitchy with the falsetto but not bad. His hair will annoy me.

Colton – I Think I Know – Here’s your rocker of the year. Not bad.

Jeremy – Gravity – I like his voice..not sure I liked his song pick. Did an ok job.

Aaron – Never Can Say Goodbye – Nice smooth voice.

Chase – Storm Warning – Here’s your Country..he’ll do fine in that format!

Creighton - True Colors – Not my favorite singing style…he’s a bet screechy yelly!

Phillip – In The Air Tonight – Oh…drum solo!!!!!!!! What is this arrangement? Yuck! Nice growl though.

Eban – Set Fire To The Rain – He’s flat. Poor choice for him.

Heejun - Angels – Nice job..but another not exciting performance.

Josh – You Pulled Me Through -  This is a voice! Great song pick for him as well. J-Lo wants to punch him. It’s this years I wanna squish your head!

And surprise contestant is: Jermaine (Wow..he’s tall!!! Or Ryan is really short) – Dance With My Father – (where is my hankie) He’s in Barry White territory!!! He’s good..no matter what happens on Idol..he’s set..someone will pick him up. Wow.

Half going home.. – Creighton, Deandre, Phillip, Eban, Heejun, Reed Those are my picks..all but Eban were solid..I think Eban need a bit more time. He’s got the great attitude, but I don’t think he’s ready yet.

I’m slowly catching up..you know the results already! Shhhh.. no spoilers hahahaha

So this show should be an hour...and the judges need to shut up tonight. 

Scotty - When Will The World Stop Tuning by Alan Jackson - Typical good country Scotty. 

Lauren - I Do It Anyway by Martina McBride - Go girl. Nice. Flawless! 

Round 1 - Lauren

Haley - I Who Have Nothing - If she controls her growl...she's good. This was her best performance ever! Good job. I think I felt feeling from her.

Scotty - Young Blood - When he sings songs like this (he's still good) he looks like a 6 year old singing into a banana in his kitchen. It's not pretty! Country radio is already licking it's chops for him. Huge country act a-comin' 

Lauren - Trouble - Wow..she looks fantastic!!!! Not bad..but you can tell she was still unsure about the song. Didn't feel really comfortable with it. Solid vocals though. 

James - Love Potion #9 - Nice job....solid..entertaining...vocally spot on.He knows how to work the stage!

Round 2 - I have to give it to Haley, with a close run by James!
